We will hold our annual members meeting on 21 MAR, Saturday 2:00-3:00pm, at SGC. We will review programs and events in 2025 and share financial info. We will also vote on a slate of three directors who will serve a three-year term. Each year, three of the nine directors' terms expire.
We need 13 voting members (annual or lifetime) as a quorum. If you cannot make the meeting, you can email manager@seattlego.org to register a proxy for yourself (notification goes to the secretary for recording). We appreciate your naming proxies to ensure we have quorum for the meeting.
This year, we are grateful that Leslie Crawford, Zhihong Yao, and YT Bill Chiles (all have served for multiple terms) volunteered to be directors again, and they will be on the slate of candidates. These candidates are currently, VP, Treasurer, and President, respectively, but the board decides each year which directors serve in which roles.
Members can nominate other candidates if seven or more members nominate someone prior to 11 MAR. This gives the board time to approve the candidates and possibly to work with folks to have a slate of only three candidates for much simpler voting at the meeting. If seven voting members want to nominate a candidate, please send mail to manager@seattlego.org prior to 11 MAR.
