Dear Go Teachers,
Our outreach at the Sakura-Con festival of Japanese anime starts tomorrow, Friday, April 3. We will be in the same room as last year at Sakura-Con this year: room 305 of the Washington State Convention Center. You do not need a pass to reach us. We are on the 3rd floor, near the escalator, just past the Cosplay Repair Station.
If you are one of the ten volunteers who are getting a pass to the Convention, you can get it at Room 213, the Press and Industry Room, which is also near the escalator, one floor lower. (Yes, you are getting an industrial grade pass!) Please bring your i.d.
Our hours will be:
Friday, April 3 - 10 am to 10 pm (or later)
Saturday, April 4 - 10 am to 10 pm (or later)
Sunday, April 5 - 10 am to 4 pm

[Seattle Go Center] Online League with Instruction
Dear Go Players,
Some of our members have been playing in the online “Yunguseng Dojang”, and they really like it. There is now room for more players. The instruction is in English, and the skill level of our players is from strong kyu player to 6 dan. More information is below.

Yunguseng Dojang is an online league run by former Korean yunguseng (student to become a professional go player), Inseong Hwang, who now lives in Europe teaching go. He has been running this online league since 2011 and currently has 72 players in European time zone and 36 players in the American time zone. He has been the number 1 player in European rankings and has a good record against professionals living in Europe.

The basic system of Yunguseng Dojang is,
Each of the five games played per month will be personally reviewed!
Nine live, interactive lectures each season

There are more than 100 lectures and over 2,000 game review videos!
Five of us in Seattle have already been doing this league, and have participated for a few months. I think it's a great system for getting stronger and learning more about go.
Inseong teaches in a KGS room using audio. As described, he does 3 lectures a month on Monday evenings. We also play games against 5 other opponents every month and all games are reviewed. Some are live at night with interaction with all the students and some are posted to the web as offline reviews. Top 2 players in each division go up and bottom 2 go down, so the games feel pretty important and are generally taken seriously.
