Dear Members,
We do not have enough parking for our big Anniversary Tournament and Party on Saturday Oct 3. My sincere thanks to those of you who are walking, biking or coming by bus. It will really help.
For those of you who are driving to the Tournament, which has registration from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., let me remind you that we only have 10 parking spaces at the North end of parking lot on Saturday, and 5 of those 10 are shared with Companion Pet Clinic, our downstairs tenant, on a first-come first-served basis. However, there is more free, all day parking on the west side of 7th Ave NE, north of the Go Center, where the buses park on weekdays. Most of the rest of the neighborhood has 2 hr. parking, so watch out for that. There are also the Diamond parking lots (more on that below).
If you are coming to the evening Party on Oct. 3, which starts at 6:00, please keep the lower parking lot free for our visiting dignitaries, for people with handicaps, and for the people getting our food. (You don’t want to block the sushi delivery.) Your best option for parking will probably be the Diamond Parking lot down the street across from Sundance Cinema, at the corner of 9th Ave NE and NE 45th St. This is two blocks from the Go Center, on the same side of the street (one long block and one short block). There is also the Diamond Parking lot across 45th Street from the Go Center. It looks closer, but you have to use three crosswalks to get to the Go Center, so it takes longer. These are both paid lots, and you can pay with a credit card.
