Re: [ORE] Re: Online Wild Talents Game

Cool, then here's some of my character (the parts most relevant to encounter scaling anyway), any recommendations are welcome.

Diarmuid Chevalier
Age: 11 (grade 5)
Source: Divine
Permissions: Power Theme (I think "mutable" was an intrinsic quality that just allowed you to buy new powers and improve old ones, I think it was 5pts, I've set aside 5 for that purpose)

Body 1
Coordination 2
Sense 3
Mind 3
Charm 2
Command 4
Base Will 6
Starting Willpower 7
Loyalty- Supporting Friends
Passion- being the Hero

Powers:
10d (or 6d+1wd, not sure) Implosion 1/d
Micro black hole forms in/on/near target, generates a popping noise as matter is hypercompressed and torn from its surroundings.
Attacks 2, Range, Disintegrating 2, Full Power Only-1, Horrifying -1, Obvious -1

2hd Distortion 10/d
A large obvious "black hole" appears above Diarmuid, it distorts the trajectory of any attack in a small radius from the intended target to itself. With effort this can become an artificial event horizon eliminating even the most deadly attacks.
Defends 2, Radius 2, Duration 2, Interference 3, No Upward Limit 2, Obvious -1

2hd Singularity 9/d (resisted by Body+Athletics)
A short lived black hole forms with an accretion disc and draws everything in a small radius toward itself, even light. The sudden increase in gravitational forces distorts perceptions and hurls targets toward the center point making it difficult to do much of anything.
Useful 2, Range, Mass 2, High Capacity Mass 1, Boost Mass 2, Interfering 3, Radius 2, Obvious -1, -2 Slow

2hd Orbital Slingshot 7/d
By creating a tightly controlled microblackhole nearby Diarmuid can cause himself to fall toward it at high speed. By creating them in series he can create impossible trajectories, move to full speed without accelerating, stop without slowing down and maintain full speed while changing direction 180 degrees.
Useful 2, Speed (flight), Boost Speed 2, Duration 2, No Physics 1

This leaves me with 48 points for skills probably some dice in dodge, academics, linguistics, computers, lying, a few hyper skill dice for leadership (representing a conceptual "gravitas"). I usually play characters that are highly empathetic (and manipulative), but an 11 year old doesn't really consider opinions different from their own so this will be an interesting departure. I don't expect to roll dice against other players but it will be interesting to see how they react to the idea of a "take charge" type of kid.

everyone can expect to square off against villians and threats that were created with the same point total as the pc's nad then scaled up from there as the pc gain power.  Now having said that WT can get lethal, but i wont throw you up against Bark Bombadier (the ultimate head exploder) straight out the gate.

Ah, last question, what kind of defenses do you expect us to have? I had an experience where I created a PC that had a diverse range of powers with what I thought was a solid persistent defense and the first thing I encountered was 6hd attacks.

There are no restrictions on where you spend your points, and we are using the strait 2pt./die rules in the book.
