Re: [ORE] Wild Talents: Gadgeteering

Tangentially:

I, personally, don't like "you spend time doing X" component, whether lab work in Wild Talents, or Research in Reign. My reasoning was that it split the party and was boring for the rest of the players.

Basically, I figured it my game needed Action Research! So I had a bit of a think about it and made up a table of standard components (for the 1-5 height result) and lab components (6-10), with width being scale of the component's issues (1x being slight flaw, 5x being issues with the components' source out in the world. I think 3x was legal complications, etc).

Basically, meant gadgeteers became adventure generators, in the style of Indiana Jones (action archaeologist).

Was also trying to draft rules for Mk2 objects, and mass-production.

Would people be interested in seeing my notes?
