Re: [ORE] godlike power question

Backfire occurs "every time you use the power". By my interpretation, there is no problem using Backfire with powers that activate automatically. Every time they turn it on you are using the power, so you take a point of killing. The fact that the power turns on automatically doesn't prevent the Talent from taking Backfire damage.

Now, if the power is Endless, then I'd disallow the use of the Backfire flaw.

I'm away from my books at the moment, but if I remember right, Backfire applies only if the power fails to activate. If there's no chance that it would fail to activate (short of very rare circumstances such as a Zed being around or you losing all Will), the flaw wouldn't be much of a flaw and shouldn't be worth any points.

(Or am I misremembering?)
