[Seattle Go Center] Afternoon teaching

Dear Go Center Members,

We are looking for teachers to run go clubs in the schools this Fall.  Usually the clubs meet after school, starting at about 3:30 for grade schools, and about 2:30 for middle school and high school.  These positions often come with a stipend which will not make you rich, but it is a distinction: not many people are paid to teach Go in North America. The clubs usually are 5-8 students big, but sometimes can be larger.

We know we need a teacher for Monday afternoons 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. at the local grade school (John Stanford International).  Positions at other schools are very likely, but not definite yet.

Of course, we also welcome volunteer teachers on Tuesdays 3-9 p.m. and Saturdays 1-5 p.m. at the Go Center.  This does not have to be a regular commitment - you can come on the spur of the moment.

Feel free to contact me for more information.  We do provide training and equipment.

Regards,

Brian Allen
