Hello Everyone,
This Sunday the kids Sunday class returns. We have a new format this
year to help kids become part of the Go community.
Session I:
9:00AM - 11:00 AM
This is the group for kids that have never played before or are in
need of developing the core ideas that make a strong Go player. Focus
will be on capturing, liberties, ladders, nets, territory and, finally,
ending games. Like the higher group, there will be home work (just a
lot easier ;)
Currently we already have 6 new players per-registered for this
class. Current limit would be 20 kids.
Session II:
10:00 AM - Noon
This group focuses on opening, middle game, and end game analysis.
Most game in class are on 13x13 but we will be setting up a way for the
students to play each other on the 19x19 using one of the Go Servers.
September and October we will focus on the 4x4 point Josekis. This
class includes take home problem sets.
Currently we have 3 players registered for this class. Current limit
would also be 20 kids.
Cost for either session is $15 a class. The goal of the first session
is to get kids prepared to join the second Session.
If you are interested in registering a child for either of these
sessions, please send me an email.
If you are interested in volunteering (there is one spot open for each
session) please email me. I will send you a reply email detailing the
benefits of being a volunteer for either session.
