Dear Members,
Our Monday night class with Nick Sibicky, "Beginner to 10 Kyu", has been promoted to "Double Digit Kyu Players". Congratulations! We are starting a new class on Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m. called "Real Beginners" for new players. This will be taught by Frank Lam, who helped Jon with teaching kids on Sundays, and Chris Cameron, one of our Tuesday teachers.
If you have friends who are interested in learning Go, please mention the Thursday class to them. If your friends are able to finish a game on a 19x19 board, then they are probably ready for Nick's Class on Mondays. As usual, we also teach a wide range of players on Tuesdays from 3-9 p.m.
Jon Boley will not be teaching this summer, but he will back in the fall. On Wednesdays, we will have a series of guest lectures, starting with Dan Top on July 11, at 7:00 p.m. These lectures will be designed for the 10 kyu to 5 kyu range, but all are welcome.
All of these classes are free, but you need to punch your 10-visit card when you come, or have a voting membership in the Seattle Go Center (that is, a quarterly, yearly or lifetime membership).
We hope to see you soon!
Regards,
Brian Allen
