Ah, i think you missed a couple key points:
1) im just looking for some mechanical hoodoo confirmation for clone/minions with equipment
I think if the minions and equipment are keyed to the clones, as long as the equipment has enough dice to warrant the mass I should be good.
2)other characters are unaware of the reruns. At the table it looks like this-
Me: I'm gonna punch him in the face!
Npc: Dodge-shwka!
Me: I'm gonna miss... <sigh>whoop, nope, I totally punched him in the face!
For the Character it looks like this-
I'm gonna punch him in the face!
He's dodging. Fast. I'm gonna miss. How important is it that I hit, if I miss he'll shoot my ally, but it looks like may be just a flesh wound... Is it worth however many times I'll have to relive this two seconds... That's a REALLY fast dodge, I may never hit him... Erk, that ally is a hemophiliac <sigh>... Yeah I HAVE to hit him.
ShwKA! I punched him in the face, after 6,213 consecutive tries... With no breaks, watched my ally get shot in the arm 6,212 times before resetting...
At 10wp a swing it's not something he can afford to do often, maybe once every other session, it's designed to just get the ball rolling in some places. The character himself is more or less an exposition device and mostly allows himself to be captured, incapacitated, or nearly killed because, according to him, he's driven himself insane on more than one occasion getting lost in extended efforts like research or passing a test he didn't study for... You're about to turn it in but realize you don't know if the answers are right because you didn't study, you drop the paper on the teacher's desk and BAM! You're back in your seat at the beginning, you try to cheat, get caught, 0 pts, BAM! Again. You try harder, still fail, you start doing all kinds of crazy stuff like flipping over desks, BAM! You finally think you've got enough right answers to pass with a C-, BAM! Gotta get 100. It's a terrible power but I wouldn't dream of foisting the downside on the other players. Not after watching the endless 8 anyway. That was just murder on the brain.
