[Seattle Go Center] Hiroshima to Hope Today Monday Aug 6 at Green Lake

Dear Go Center Members,

You are invited to attend the "Hiroshima to Hope" ceremony at Green Lake Park, Seattle, on Monday, Aug. 6.  This is the ceremony that includes floating lanterns on Green Lake.  We will playing Go on portable boards, starting at 4:00 p.m., but you may come as your schedule allows. We will replay the "atomic bomb game" while we are there. This is the championship game that our benefactor, Iwamoto Kaoru, finished near Hiroshima on the day of the atomic bomb blast.   Bill Camp will be the lead organizer.

We will be south of the Bath House Theatre, and we will bring our traveling equipment.  (If you have portable equipment, please bring it.) The music starts at 6:00.  We will finish playing at 7:00, when the ceremony begins.

I have attached a sgf file of the game that can be replayed with any program that reads sgf files.  And below is a link a printable version:

On Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 7:00 p.m., we will discuss the game at the Go Center.  Bill Camp will replay the game.  All go players are welcome at this event, and there will be no charge.

Regards,
Brian Allen
