[Seattle Go Center] AGA - Pandanet City Online League starts up

Dear Members,

Seattle has two teams competing in in the “AGA – Pandanet City League”, an online tournament on the Pandanet-IGS server.  Our “A” team consists of Edward Kim, Dong Baek Kim, Ho Son and Kyoung Sun Cho (Sonny Cho) with Michael Cho as non-playing team captain.  First prize in the “A” league will be about $5000.  The top two teams will also get comps to attend the US Go Congress for free in Tacoma in August.

Dong Ma, Steve Stringfellow, Andrew Jackson, and Nick Sibicky are representing Seattle in the C League, with Oren Laskin as non-playing captain.  Team placement was determined by comparing AGA ratings.  Jon Boley of Bellingham and Seattle is the TD for the national tournament.

We wish our players the best of luck.  Congratulations to our “A” team for being one of the top 6 teams in the country.

The first round of games is coming this Saturday, Jan. 26.  You can watch the games online at:

The “B” team starts playing at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Time, against the Chicago Team.
