[Seattle Go Center] Go Congress 2013 planning meeting

Folks,

The new year is here and its time to get going on planning for the 2013 US Go Congress.

Organizers will be meeting at the Seattle Go Center Saturday January 12, 2013 at NOON.

There will be a special baking of bread for those attending.

And of course we can play go after the meeting is over.

Agenda

Updates on:
Site -- PLU
Website (will be up by then)
Budget agreement with AGA
Plans for presenting "The Honinbo" as a signature event.
Plans for a historical exhibit
Plans for a teacher's workshop

Who is going to do what -- its time to sign up.

We need:
A treasurer
A local registration person (Sam Zimmerman will be handling the on line registration.)
A PR person
Pro Coordinator assistants -- Translators (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc.)
Day-off/Non-player/child care trip coordinator
Meet-and-greet (airport, etc.)
Casual labor coordinator (moving boxes, loading boxes, room set up for pros and meetings)
Novelty coordinator (t-shirts, musette bags, pens, mugs, key-chains, collector pins, signage, etc.)

There will be many other jobs too. Some of these will provide free or
partial registration -- but be prepared to work for it.
