Dear Go Players,
Our weekend workshop with a pro from the Nihon Ki-in has been rescheduled to November 15 & 16, Saturday and Sunday. (Previous reports had the workshop one week earlier.)
Our Sensei is best known as “Kuma”, a 6 dan with the Nihon Ki-in. He is originally from Taiwan, where he is known as Shiung Feng. He speaks Chinese, Japanese and English. Kuma went to the 2012 European Go Congress. He is currently a pro commentator on the Mejin Tournament.
This is our first weekend workshop in many years with a pro from the Nihon Ki-in, the largest Japanese professional Go association. Over the years, we have been happy to offer evening lectures and simultaneous games with visitors from the Nihon Ki-in, but this full weekend will be special.
Most of our workshop participants are usually in the 10 kyu to 3 dan range, but stronger players and double digit kyu players are welcome as well. Children are encouraged to take the workshop if they can stay focused for a 90 minute talk.
More information is on our webpage. You may also register using Paypal at the bottom of the webpage. Or you can register in person at the Go Center with cash or check.
