Dear Members,

Your donations of time and money are crucial for the Seattle Go Center as we teach and share the great game of Go. Donations are actually bigger part of our budget than membership payments, and they allow us to keep our doors open to all with our “first ten visits free” policy.

The Seattle Go Center has had another good year. Membership has continued to grow, and the number of new (non-paying) members this year was more than double the previous fiscal year. We also have more than 100 paying members now (lifetime, yearly and 10-visit card holders). The Go Center organized our first Eastside program, a twice weekly meet-up at Crossroads Bellevue. We also have continued our ambitious schedule of classes and events at the Iwamoto Building in the University District of Seattle. During the past year we did outreach at 5 public festivals, ran Go clubs in 5 schools, and shared the game of Go in a variety of other ways. Check out:

Our online instruction has expanded too. Nick Sibicky now has 88 Double Digit Kyu Player lectures posted on YouTube:
