-- Tomorrow we are going to do something that we haven't done in a while; have everyone in the class play a "team" game. This is a variation on Guo Juan's "Survivor Go," where it doesn't really matter which team wins; rather a team's score is determined by the quality of each team member's individual moves. These points will be awarded based on your own individual skill level. For example, if a 15k plays a stone for the black team that is joseki, but perhaps not the BEST joseki, the black team will earn a point. Conversely, if a 10k tenukis a local situation at a bad time, that 10k will lose a point for his/her team.
We've done this type of lesson a number of times in the past, and it is always fun for everyone. Come on down to the Go Center on Monday night and try to earn some points for your team! #goblackgoteam #gowhitegoteam
