Dear Members,
Our next outreach event will be on Friday, April 24 – Sunday, April 26, from 10 am – 6 pm each day, at the Cherry Blossom Festival. This is held at the Seattle Center (near the Space Needle). We will be in our traditional space, in what is now called the “Armory Loft”. This is upstairs from our location last year, when we were on the “Armory Main Floor” (food court).
The Cherry Blossom Festival is the biggest public Japanese cultural celebration of the year in Seattle. http://www.cherryblossomfest.org/
This year, they are not doing the scheduled class visits on Friday. So we will be teaching individuals and small groups all three days. We have room for 6 teachers. Please contact me if you are interested in helping out (and haven’t gotten in touch already). Mark R. is planning a car pool.
Our Spring Tournament is the following Sunday, on May 3, at the Seattle Go Center, with registration from 10:00 – 10:45.
