[Seattle Go Center] Reduced hours in August but lots happening

Dear Members,

Please note that both our Monday evening class (DDK) and Wednesday evening class (SDK) will be not be meeting during August. We will be closed to regular play on Saturday, Aug. 15 and Saturday, Aug. 22. We do have many special events coming up though!

Ryo Maeda 6P will be giving one of his famous lectures on Wednesday Night, July 29, at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $10/ $5 for students and voting members. This lecture will be aimed at Single Digit Kyu Players, but all are welcome.

He will also be playing simultaneous games, along with pro Koyo Hoshikawa, on Tuesday afternoon, July 28, starting around 3:00 p.m. $10 a game.

We have a catered dinner for all teachers, from outreach to classes, on Monday, August 17, at 6:00 p.m. Pro Myungwan Kim will give a talk on “Teaching Go to Friends and Family”. This is a free event.

The Strong Players Workshop with Myungwan Kim is August 15 & 16. That Saturday, the Go Center will be closed to regular play. Please note that the early registration discount for this workshop ends tomorrow night, July 28.

The Workshop with Inseong Hwang happens the next weekend, August 22 & 23. We will be closed to regular play on that Saturday as well.
