Re: [Seattle Go Center] Surrounding Game Movie on Monday, July 31

If you've bought tickets on EventBrite, don't worry about printing or bringing them with you. I will have a list with your name at the door. Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Dear Members,

Here's a friendly reminder that the Surrounding Game Movie Premiere is this Monday night July 31, at the Varsity Theatre in the UDistrict.  Yes, you can buy tickets at the door!  Doors open at 7, Visiting pro Maeda Ryo will give a short talk at 7:15., movie is at 7:30.

You can also buy tickets through this link:

Deborah and I viewed the movie last night, and it is a must see for all Go players who are older than 10 years.  Younger players might be bored by the movie, but there is nothing unsuitable for young folk.  It's fun to see local players Chris Kirschner and Dennis Wheeler appear on the big screen.  The movie is also a good introduction to the "Three Kingdoms of Go": Japan, China and Korea, and should entertain anyone interested in cultural sharing between East Asia and the United States and Canada.

Best,
Brian
