[Seattle Go Center] DDK Class: All About Go Equipment

Dear Members,

Nick Sibicky will be back to teach April 2, but this Monday, March 26, I’ll give a short talk on Go equipment to the DDK class (and anybody else who is interested).  There will be time for a game after the talk.

I’ll give a tour of our floor boards and table boards, and the boards in our equipment shop, and talk about what kind of wood they are made of.  Some of the boards have interesting histories, so we will explore that too.   I’ll talk about what we learned from our board refinishing and re-lining project.  We will also look at different kinds of stones, including some really nice slate and shell stones.  Finally, we will talk about where you can find equipment to buy, online and in person.
