[Seattle Go Center] Rengo Tournament (and pie!), Sat. June 9

FOUR PLAYERS - TWO TEAMS - ONE LOVE

Please join us at Seattle Go Center for our Rengo tournament event:
Rengo With Pie and Coffee!
Saturday, June 9, 2018
5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.  (registration 5:30 - 6:00 p.m.)
Cost: $10; $5 for Youth (under 18) and Voting Members (Lifetime, Yearly and Quarterly Members).

Rengo is played by teams of two players, and is amazingly fun.  You can bring a partner, but you don't have to -- we will
be forming more teams at the start of the tournament.

We'll play two rounds using the International Pair Go rules at http://www.pairgo.or.jp/setumei/rule.htm except with no
restrictions on team membership.  (My favorite rule:  "During games, actions such as acupuncture and moxibustion are
forbidden."  Mostly because I don't know what "moxibustion" is.  And, I want to hear about the wild 'n' crazy Go
tournament where they also did acupuncture.  It must have happened once, or there wouldn't be a rule against it, right?)

More info is on the Go Center calendar:  http://www.seattlego.org/events/
Also on the attached poster (looks beautiful -- thanks Catherine Ozols!)

(Anyone who wants to print out a high-resolution image of the poster, email me.)

All the best,
Mike Malveaux

PS -- How many shodans does it take to change a dead lightbulb?

(If it's dead, tenuki.  Maybe you can use it as a threat later.)
