[Seattle Go Center] Pro visit - Mr. Tajiri 5p, March 4 - March 7

Hello Seattle Go Community,

I'm pleased to announce that Mr. Yuto Tajiri, 5 dan professional Go player of the Nihon Ki-in, will be visiting Seattle next week! Here is his profile page:

Here is the schedule of events (subject to changes; but this is what I'm expecting):

Mon. March 4 -- DDK takeover! Mr. Tajiri will lead the Double Digit Kyu session ordinarily taught by Nick Sibicky. 6:30-8:30 PM. No charge for this (though Go Center admission policies apply -- remember to punch your 10-visit cards).

Tue. March 5 -- Simuls simuls simuls! Two sessions for your learning pleasure:
2:00-4:30 PM; $10 donation to the Go Center requested ($5 for Youth and Voting Members).
6:00-8:30 PM; $15 donation to the Go Center requested ($10 for Youth and Voting Members).
Six players maximum per session (actually, this is one of the things that might change -- I'm not certain how many Mr. Tajiri will play simultaneously). Sign up in advance. Sign-up sheets are posted on the side reception desk at the Go Center.

Wed. March 6 -- Uwajimaya! For several years, we've maintained an outreach event on Wednesday evenings at Uwajimaya (600 5th Ave. S., Seattle WA 98104). We'd like Mr. Tajiri to see it. I'm not yet sure what form it will take -- I'm hoping he'll stun everyone with blindfolded 9x9, but I don't yet know. 6:00-7:30 PM

Thu. March 7 -- Lecturer's Choice! Mr. Tajiri will lecture at the Go Center, 6:00-8:00 PM. No charge for this (though Go Center admission policies apply -- remember to punch your 10-visit cards).

Mr. Tajiri departs Friday; no weekend seminar this time around. Mr. Tajiri will also visit two Go programs at Seattle schools on this trip.

Seattle Go Center is incredibly fortunate to have professional players sharing their expertise with us. I hope you can join us for these special events.
