[Seattle Go Center] This week, and early next month

Hello fellow Go fans,

Today is Tuesday, so come join us at the Go Center for "the largest weekly gathering of Go players in North America (possibly the Western Hemisphere)™"!  Open 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM, with instruction for beginners after 3:00, and freshly-baked bread to share sometime after 5:00.

Introducing Go this past weekend at Sakura-Con was a lot of fun!  This upcoming weekend, drop by Seattle Center (Armory building) for the Cherry Blossom Festival, where we'll again be introducing our wonderful game. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Wednesday, join Drew and Eric at the Go Center for Programming Computer Go, 6:00-7:00 PM; and for a Go Basics workshop, approximately 7:00-8:30 PM, (there is some flexibility to accommodate participants' interest).

Thursday, the Go Center is open 4:00-9:00 PM.  Join Larry for the Complete Beginners class, 6:30-8:30 PM; but Advanced Go with Yue is canceled this week (will return next week).

Sunday May 5, the Go Center will hold our annual Spring Tournament, with a chance to win fabulous prizes! Register 10:00 - 10:45 AM, and fist round starts at 11:00. $10 to enter ($5 for players 17 or younger, and for Go Center voting members); includes lunch. $150 prize for the Open Section (limited to the 8 strongest entrants), and prizes of books and Go equipment for 3-game winners in the Handicap Section.
