[Seattle Go Center] Volunteering for Snohomish Health District on Covid Prevention

Dear Go Players –

Here is a Public Service Announcement from Chris Kirschner, one of the founders of the Seattle Go Center.  In addition to being a dan level player and teacher, he is the guy who baked bread on Tuesdays before the pandemic:

Folks,

For the last 6 months or so, I have been working with the Snohomish Health District Medical Reserve Corps to provide assistance with testing for Covid at the hospital in Everett, and helping at vaccine clinics at various places in Snohomish County.

I have never worked for a better led, organized and supportive group.

They are still actively seeking volunteers, and I have volunteered to do some outreach for that. Residence in Snohomish County is not required. One significant benefit is that if you are working with them, you will get access to vaccination.

I would be happy to talk with you (email or phone listed below) about what is involved, what is needed re qualifications etc., what the tasks are (There are many different ones.) and answer any questions you may have.

You can also go here to see their website and contact information.

Best,
